Selecting the Right Family for Your Baby in the Adoption Process

Choosing a family for your baby is an exciting and significant milestone in your adoption journey. It is important to remember that prospective adoptive families have also gone through a long process to reach this point. Therefore, it is essential to carefully consider the process of connecting with a family. If you are not ready to involve a family in your adoption plan just yet, please discuss this with your Adoption Specialist. Adoption Choices of Texas works diligently behind the scenes to find families that align with your needs, which can sometimes take an extended period of time. We accept all types of families, but the more specific your preferences are, the better we can offer you families that meet your particular criteria. The Adoption Process: Meeting Your New Family Once you have selected a family, we will arrange a Zoom call to help you feel at ease with your first encounter. Following this, we will schedule a face-to-face meeting with the family to facilitate a more personal connection. Your adoption specialists will also be present, along with any family member you wish to have there. You can choose the restaurant for this meeting, and we will make the arrangements for you. Our top priority is ensuring you feel comfortable and supported throughout this journey, and Adoption Choice of Texas is here to make that happen!

[Note: Our agency utilizes a computer program to have contact throughout the child’s life (0-18 years) called ChildConnect. This program allows the adoptive parents to place pictures and updates in the portal for you. You have the option of viewing these or deciding not to view them. Each birth parent can have their own login options which allows you to also upload updates and pictures of yourself and other children/family members. No matter what type of adoption you have, we have this available for each birth parent.]
