Natalie and Dan’s Family Grows with Baby Mateo – Texas

Natalie and Dan (pseudonyms) struggled for years with infertility and multiple failed treatments before they chose to grow their family through adoption. Their first journey with Adoption Choices of Texas began in 2023 and they adopted a son.  They returned to ACTX for a second adoption they were placed with their second son a year after being on the wait list.  and after months of paperwork and preparation, they were matched with an expectant mother in early 2025. Language presented a challenge, as the birth mother only spoke Spanish, but Adoption Choices ensured that Spanish-speaking support was available throughout the process as the adoptive mother speaks Spanish.. Natalie and Dan were especially thankful for their adoption specialist’s care and cultural sensitivity. They were present for the birth-a moment they’ll never forget.

Their son, Mateo (pseudonym), was born on February 20, and they were present for his birth—a moment they’ll never forget. Though the adoption was intended to be closed, a brief yet meaningful conversation with the birth mother at the hospital deeply touched them.
