Do grandparents have a say if I place my child for adoption?
No. In Texas, grandparents can not stop an adoption plan from either birth parent consenting. You do not need anyone’s consent when making your adoption plan, but support from family can be significant. Your adoption counselor can speak with your family if you’d like to help them understand more about adoption.
